Worried About Paying for Care?

Massachusetts auto insurance may help cover care for accident-related injuries—even if you were at fault. You may qualify for benefits even if you do not have health insurance.

Our team can help review your available coverage, assist with insurance paperwork, and coordinate with your insurer or attorney. We’ll explain any expected out-of-pocket costs before treatment.

Explore Auto Insurance Coverage

Coverage depends on eligibility, policy terms, deductibles, available benefits, and coordination with health insurance. Payment is not guaranteed.

Older Electric paperwork needs the accident-date policy

Massachusetts approved Electric Insurance’s withdrawal from its private passenger auto market in 2024, with a renewal-rights arrangement involving Plymouth Rock. If you have an older Electric claim or paperwork from a later policy, bring both the accident date and the policy that applied then. A later renewal or company change does not identify who handles an earlier claim.

How Massachusetts PIP may help

Eligible accident-related chiropractic care may qualify for Massachusetts PIP benefits, regardless of fault. The standard combined benefit limit is up to $8,000 per person, subject to policy terms, deductibles, and remaining benefits. Read our PIP chiropractic coverage guide for details.

How PIP and health insurance work together

PIP generally pays the first $2,000 in eligible medical expenses when applicable health insurance is available, then coordinates further bills with that plan. Bring both sets of coverage information so the payment process can be reviewed for your own claim.

Your first steps after the accident

  • Contact the office about an evaluation and explain what is bothering you.
  • Report the accident to the appropriate insurer and ask about an injury or PIP claim.
  • Keep the accident date, claim number, and assigned contact together.
  • Save medical records, claim letters, and any attorney contact information.

What to bring to your visit

  • Electric Insurance policy or claim documents, if available.
  • Your health insurance card and information about other coverage.
  • Records from emergency care or other accident-related visits.
  • A timeline of symptoms and any activities that have become difficult.

Electric Insurance accident coverage questions

Who should handle an accident involving an older Electric policy?

Use the claim contact associated with the policy in force on the accident date. Bring the relevant documents; do not assume that a later renewal insurer automatically handles an earlier accident.

Does Electric Insurance cover chiropractic care after a car accident?

Eligible accident-related chiropractic services may be covered by available auto insurance benefits. The policy, applicable benefits, remaining limits, and services must be reviewed. A company name or open claim does not guarantee payment.

Will I have to pay out of pocket?

That depends on your available coverage, any deductible, remaining benefits, and the services provided. Our team will explain expected costs before you decide on care. We do not promise that every claim pays 100%.

Do I need a referral or insurance approval for my accident evaluation?

Call (617) 629-2600 with your claim information. A medical referral is not necessary for chiropractic care when using Massachusetts Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits. You can schedule directly with our office. Our team can help check your available benefits and explain the claim process. An appointment does not guarantee insurance payment.
