Worried About Paying for Care?
Massachusetts auto insurance may help cover care for accident-related injuries—even if you were at fault. You may qualify for benefits even if you do not have health insurance.
Our team can help review your available coverage, assist with insurance paperwork, and coordinate with your insurer or attorney. We’ll explain any expected out-of-pocket costs before treatment.
Coverage depends on eligibility, policy terms, deductibles, available benefits, and coordination with health insurance. Payment is not guaranteed.
An older brand name may appear on an active claim file
OneBeacon rebranded as Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions. If OneBeacon appears on your accident paperwork, bring that paperwork and any newer claim correspondence. A rebrand does not establish that every old policy is the same product or that every accident has the same benefits; the exact insurer and claim instructions still matter.
Eligible accident-related chiropractic care may qualify for Massachusetts PIP benefits, regardless of fault. The standard combined benefit limit is up to $8,000 per person, subject to policy terms, deductibles, and remaining benefits. Read our PIP chiropractic coverage guide for details.
How PIP and health insurance work together
PIP generally pays the first $2,000 in eligible medical expenses when applicable health insurance is available, then coordinates further bills with that plan. Bring both sets of coverage information so the payment process can be reviewed for your own claim.
Contact the office about an evaluation and explain what is bothering you.
Report the accident to the appropriate insurer and ask about an injury or PIP claim.
Keep the accident date, claim number, and assigned contact together.
Save medical records, claim letters, and any attorney contact information.
What to bring to your visit
OneBeacon Insurance policy or claim documents, if available.

What if my paperwork says OneBeacon but newer letters say Intact?
Bring both documents and the assigned claim contact. The name change can explain different branding, but your particular policy and claim still need to be identified.
Does OneBeacon cover chiropractic care after a car accident?
Eligible accident-related chiropractic services may be covered by available auto insurance benefits. The policy, applicable benefits, remaining limits, and services must be reviewed. A company name or open claim does not guarantee payment.
Will I have to pay out of pocket?
That depends on your available coverage, any deductible, remaining benefits, and the services provided. Our team will explain expected costs before you decide on care. We do not promise that every claim pays 100%.
Do I need a referral or insurance approval for my accident evaluation?
Call (617) 629-2600 with your claim information. A medical referral is not necessary for chiropractic care when using Massachusetts Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits. You can schedule directly with our office. Our team can help check your available benefits and explain the claim process. An appointment does not guarantee insurance payment.

This page provides general education about care and billing, not legal advice. Cordima Chiropractic Center is an independent chiropractic office and is not affiliated with OneBeacon Insurance. A page about an insurer does not establish network participation, current policy availability, or coverage for a specific claim. For questions about legal rights or a claim dispute, contact your insurer or an attorney.
