Original Medicare covers a limited chiropractic benefit
According to Medicare.gov, Part B covers spinal adjustments to correct a subluxation when the stated requirements are met. It does not cover other services or tests a chiropractor orders, including X-rays and massage therapy. After the Part B deductible, the patient generally pays 20% of the Medicare-approved amount. Other coverage and the provider’s assignment status can affect your final cost.
Care at Cordima Chiropractic Center is provided by Dr. Christopher Cordima, a Somerville chiropractor practicing since 1988. Insurance benefits and care recommendations are reviewed for your own situation.
Questions to ask about your plan
- Tell us whether you have Original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage plan.
- Bring your Medicare card and any Advantage or supplemental plan cards.
- Ask which recommended services are covered and which you would pay for yourself.
Bring the details that make a difference
Have your current insurance card, member ID, group number if shown, and any referral or authorization information ready when you call. If you have more than one health plan, tell our team about each one.
Verification of benefits is an estimate, not a guarantee of payment.
